| My son Jarred takes you on a tour through Dunbar High School in his BMW! First…here is a shot of the monument that stands on the site of the North Building! Remember the fantastic Dunbar Poets on the Basketball court? Playing teams like Addison, Campbell County, Southside, Bethune and others! Look closely, the old steps that used to fold up are gone! Also: The stage in the Cafeteria where the band played for our Prom! For our class it was the “Vistatones!” Also: The East building Walkway!
Remember: The Band room at DHS! Anybody seen Mr. Russell, Mr. Moore, Mr. Davenport and our Drum-Major Mr. Dennis Saunders! Who could forget the band practicing marching down Dunbar Drive!
Remember eating lunch in the cafeteria? The Shop! Anybody seen Mr. Evans, Mr. Jones and Mr. Mosley?

OPEN HOUSE WAS PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC IN NOVEMBER OF 2013! I TOOK THE TOUR WITH OTHER PROSPECTIVE PARENTS WITH STUDENTS TO ATTEND DUNBAR MIDDLE! JARRED KINDA OUTGREW HIS BMW, SO I WAS ALONE WITH THIS TOUR!
THE MOZEE BUILDING IS NOW ALL SIXTH GRADES! ALL SIGNS OF WOODSHOP AND AUTO SHOP ARE GONE! WOODSHOP CLASS IS STILL GOING ON WITH THE TEACHERS STILL SHOWING YOU HOW TO DRIVE A NAIL! THE CLASS IS WORKING ON REAL HOVER-CRAFT! ABOVE THE OFFICE AREA IN THE EAST BUILDING WHERE THE ART CLASSES USED TO BE IS A REAL HERPETOLOGY CLASS! YES…REAL SNAKES, LIZARDS…ECT! THERE ARE RAMPS EVERYWHERE TO HELP OUR DIS-ABLED STUDENTS! ENJOY!

 Here is 2013 principal Kacey Crabbe, Mr. Derrick Brown is there now!  Man I would live in this room! Dunbar's TV & video studio!  You wont believe what is on the floor above the offices in the East building!?  A Herpetology room! Live snakes, lizards, turtles, fish.....OH MY!  We played many a game in the gym!  Ahhh...the basketball games on the weekend!  The former office's of Coach Organ and Mr. Pinn!  This shot if looking out the front door and hallway of the South building!  South building hallway! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST DID A “DHS TOUR” WITH JARRED, HE WOULD BE APPLYING TO DUNBAR! MARCH 15TH, 2016, DUNBAR MIDDLE SCHOOL HELD AN OPEN HOUSE FOR POTENTIAL SIXTH GRADERS! JARRED HAS APPLIED! I WILL LET YOU KNOW IF HE GOT ACCEPTED! Yes….he got accepted!
